U.S. House dealing with growing number of health-related bills

A growing number of health-related issues are working their way on to the agenda of the U.S. House of Representatives. They include: a bill to repeal health care reform’s 2.3 percent medical device tax, which is scheduled to start next year; a bill that would speed government approval of lower-cost generic copies of brand-name drugs; a bill that would ban abortion as a means to choose a child’s sex; and legislation possibly needed if the Supreme Court overturns all or part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.
